The lid (2) has two pins (8) which project from the underside (4) of the lid and by means of which holes can be punched into a canned milk container (1). In the mounted condition, the pins (8) engage in the holes, closing the latter. The pins (8) may in particular be made of metal and be cast into a plastic lid (2). The lid (2) engages, with a peripheral rib (20), in the region of the canned milk container (1) enclosed by the beaded edge (7). The rib (20) is toothed (23) in the vicinity of the pins (8). <IMAGE>
