PURPOSE:To obtain a safe disintegrator without limitation in use under the Food Additive Law, by using natural cellulose powder, a saccharide and an aqueous solution of an acid. CONSTITUTION:Preferably 40-80% cellulose powder having an average polymerization degree of 200-500 is mixed with preferably 60-20% saccharide, e.g. dextrin, having a decomposition ratio of 12-42, and then an aqueous solution of pH 3-5, e.g. an aqueous solution of citric or malic acid, is added thereto and agitated. The mixture is allowed to stand for a given time, aged, dried and pulverized to give the aimed disintegrator. The disintegrator is preferably pulverized to a particle size of 200-300 mesh and used. The disintegrator consisting of all the natural substances has no obligation of indication or limitation in use under the Food Additive Law.
