PURPOSE:To obtain a quasi-dynamic picture transmitting device where discontinuity in one picture is eliminated, by switching two sets of buffer memory of a transmitting part and picture memory of a receiving part to use them alternately for write and read. CONSTITUTION:An input video signal inputted from an input terminal is sampled by an A/D converter 2 and has the band compressed by a band compression encoder 3 and is supplied to transmission buffer memories 4A and 4B. While one- picture components of band-compressed signal are written in the memory 4A, contents of the memory 4B are read in a transmission line speed and are outputted as serial data to a transmission line TL through a transmission output terminal 5. In the receiving part, a received signal inputted from a reception input terminal 6 is decoded by a band expansion decoder 8 and is supplied to picture memories 11A and 11B for one-picture components. While data from the transmission line TL is written in the memory 11B, contents of the memory 11A are read out at a data rate and are converted to an analog signal through a D/A converter 9 and are outputted from a video output terminal 10. |
