PURPOSE:To provide a titled device yielding a photoconductive film which has excellent electrical characteristics, etc. and provides an image satisfactory over the entire region of a photosensitive body by interposing mercury between the projecting surface and recessed surface for sliding fitting formed between one end of a rotating shaft which is an electrical conducting state with a cylindrical base body and a grounding electrode installed to face thereto. CONSTITUTION:A grounding electrode 11 which faces coaxially a rotating shaft 9 in an electrical conducting state with a cylindrical base body 3 is provided to top end of said shaft. A circular conical recessed surface 12 is formed to the top end of the shaft 9 on the surface of the shaft 9 facing the electrode 11 and circular conical projecting surface 13 fitting slidingly in tight contact with the surface 12 is formed to the bottom surface of the electrode 11. A specified fitting pressure is applied to the electrode 11 from above by a spring 14 and mercury 15 is filled in the fitting part to provide perfect conductivity. It is more effective to use a metal which forms amalgam with mercury (e.g.; Au, Cu, Al, etc.) for the shaft 9 and the electrode 11. If a film is formed on the body 3 by such device, the matching is continuously maintained in the extremely stable state from the beginning till end of electric discharge and the good film having high uniformity is otbd. as an electrophotographic sensitive body. |
