PURPOSE:To provide a heat exchanger which is compact and simple in structure, by containing a counterflow type primary heat exchanger and a secondary heat exchanger in a single pressure vessel. CONSTITUTION:A primary air enters into an air withdrawal chamber 22 through an air withdrawal tube 24 and advances into the inflow port of primary heat exchanger 30. After cooled down, the primary air flows to the rear portion of internal vessel 40. Then, the air flows into a cooling chamber 23 through an opening 46 and further advances to the rearward direction, while being cooled down in contact with a cooling tube 51 and a fin 52 during its passage through an area between a pressure vessel 20 and the internal vessel 40. The air finally reaches the rear portion of pressure vessel 20 as a secondary air. Water drops which are formed as a result of air being cooled are drained out through a drain pipe 29. The secondary air flows into an inflow port A2 through a passageway 43, wherein it is heated in contact with the primary air entering through the inflow port A2, and wherefrom it is delivered from an outflow port B2 through a delivery pipe 26a. A reheated and dry air is thus available from the delivery pipe 26a. |
