PURPOSE:To reliably separate and feed a sheet by providing an automatic sheet feeder with a planetry gear mechanism comprising a sun gear, an intermediate gear, a planetry gear and an arm. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a planetry gear mechanism comprising a sun gear 5, an intermediate gear 10, a planetry gear 13 and an arm. A driving shaft 1 is connected to the sun gear 5 through one-way clutch, a feed roller 12 is connected to the planetry gear 13, and the driving shaft 1 is connected to a separation roller 3 through a torque limiter. Feed rollers 24, 25 adapted to feed a sheet at a higher speed than the feed roller 12 feeds a sheet are disposed at the rear stage of the feed roller 12, whereby the feed rollers 24, 25 are brought close to a sheet 21 by revolution and pressed to the sheet, so that the sheet 21 is fed into a pressure contact portion between the feed roller 12 and the separation roller 3. Thus, the sheet can be reliably fed into the pressure contact portion. |
