<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light distribution controlling device capable of establishing the optimum distribution pattern for a driver irrespective of a moving part. <P>SOLUTION: The light distribution controlling device is equipped with a first headlight having an optical axis approximately parallel with the vehicle advancing direction and capable of controlling the irradiation range through the control of the photo-quantity and a second headlight whose irradiation range lies outside that of the first headlight. The light distribution pattern to the same degree as a conventional headlight for low beam is accomplished by controlling the irradiation range of the first headlight. On the other hand, the irradiation range of the second headlight has an optical axis directed to outside from the center of the vehicle more than the conventional low beam and spreads in a wider angle in the horizontal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
