Heat stabilisation of a halovinyl resin by means of a system containing at least one organic alkaline-earth metal compound and an organic compound of zinc or antimony or silicon or aluminium or of a mixture thereof; it consists in adding a costabiliser consisting of a polyol ester of a mercaptoacid of molecular mass from 238 to 1000.
