摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thin type cathode-ray tube of little deflecting power by arranging a phosphor plane so that the position where the straight going cathode- ray among deflected cathode-rays passes through may be at the vicinity of its center and also said straight going cathode-ray may be slanted to the progressing direction of the cathode-rays. CONSTITUTION:The cathode-ray 4 generated by the cathode 3 is controlled, in its cathode-ray current layers by the control electrode 5, accelerated and converged by the anode 6, and is deflected on any optional position of the phosphor plane 2 by the deflecting means 7. The phosphor plane 2 has dimensions LV (200), LT(300), and the vicinity of its center 12 is existing on the progressing direction of the straight going cathode-ray 4a among deflected cathode-rays 4, and said plane 2 is located so that it is slanted to the progressing direction of the cathode-ray 4a and its construction is to be such that the thickness LD(100) should be far thinner than the dimension LV(200). This type construction of little deflecting power can be obtained in this fashion. And also unnaturalness caused by a slanted phosphor plane can be dissolved by providing optical light axis deflecting means such as a prism or a lens to deflect an image on the phosphor plane 2 to any optional direction optically.
