PURPOSE:To accelerate high-fidelity recording and reproduction effectively by providing a tape cleaning member which enters a tape cassette wherein a magnetic tape is wound through a through hole formed in the tape cassette associatively with the operation of an operating member for running the tape at a constant speed and is brought into contact with the magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:A combination head part 123 is inserted into the head insertion through hole 170 of the tape cassette 150 and its sound recording head 121 and reproducing head 122 contact the magnetic tape 169. A reel turntable 121 is rotated counterclockwise and capstans 114 and 115 are rotated counterclockwise to run the magnetic tape 169 at the constant speed as shown by an arrow C. At this time, the edge part 169 of the tape cleaning member 167 removes unnecessary sticking matter such as the dust and scrape of magnetic material from the magnetic tape 169, which reaches the combination head part 123. Therefore, an excellent recording and reproducing operation is carried out without any dropout. |
