PURPOSE:To make the construction of a dam easier by a method in which filling soil is packed into a rectangular cell formed by driving sheet piles from the entrance side to form a temporary dam, and the same rectangular cells are further formed, and an upper concrete is placed on them. CONSTITUTION:Two steel plates are projectionally provided from a quaywall 1 as an entrance side, sheet piles 2 are driven for a given distance to form a rectangular cell C in the direction of crossing the direction of construction, and soil is packed into a filling space B so formed. Reinforcing bars 5 are set along both outsides of the sheet piles 2 driven in parallel with the direction of construction, underwater concrete 6 is placed on them for covering, and concrete 7 is also placed on the soil 4 to construct a part A of the dam. Using the part A of the dam as a temporary dam, a part A' of the dam is likewise constructed, and parts A'' and A''' of the dam are orderly constructed in the same way to complete the whole of the dam. |
