PURPOSE:To enable to initially start a synchronous motor via a magnetic flux calculator by observing the influence of a field voltage presented at the armature winding of the motor immediately before the initial value of a magnetic flux calculating integrator is started at the starting time, and deciding it. CONSTITUTION:A field current command 31 of a synchronous motor 3 is converted via a coefficient unit 25 to a magnetic flux value, inputted to a magnetic flux initial value calculator 37, an armature winding terminal voltage is detected, applied through a field ripple voltage amplitude detector 33, and a field ripple voltage polarity discriminator 34, inputted via a standardized constant calculator 35, and a multiplier 36 to a calculator 37, the output of which is applied to a magnetic flux calculator 32 with an initial value setting function, a field ripple signal presented at the armature winding terminal of a motor 3 immediately before starting is detected, calculated, thereby controlling a converter 2 for converting the DC into a variable frequency AC. Accordingly, the magnetic flux calculator can be used from the initial of starting, a distributor can be eliminated to start the motor at a high speed in a high efficiency. |
