<p>In the process, the effluent, after screen and sand trap, is fed to an activation tank and then to a secondary clarification tank, the sludge to be removed by raking, according to the invention being subjected to aeration as a pretreatment, prior to introduction into the inlet for mechanical and biological purification. The apparatus for carrying out the process, in addition to a screen, a sand trap, if required a preliminary clarification tank having a connected septic tank, an activation tank and a secondary clarification tank, and, possibly, a sludge aeration tank, is provided with an additional aeration plant in which the sludge to be removed by raking is aerated. <IMAGE></p> |
