A process of producing novel 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-phenyl-substituted heterocyclic compounds shown by the formula < IMG > and the salts thereof. The compounds of this invention have an anti-inflammatory, an anti-pyretic, analgestic, an antiarthritic, and an immuno regulatory activity. Hence they are particularly useful as an antirheumatic.
