PURPOSE:To automatically control ballast pump and valves by a method in which displacement and ballast anount are calculated on the basis of detected values from a ballast tank liquid level meter, a draft meter and a heel meter to obtain the supply and discharge amounts of ballast for every ballast tank. CONSTITUTION:Detected values from a ballast tank liquid level meter 6, a draft meter 7 and a heel meter 8 are sent to a centralized processor 1 to calculate total amount of ballast and displacement. A limiting draft and the amount of burden to be loaded are inputted by a data input unit 3 to calculate necessary amount of ballast and furthermore to calculate the supply or discharge amount of ballast for every ballast tank. On the basis of the calculated values, a valve 10 is automatically controlled by a valve controller 4, and a pump 11 is automatically controlled by a ballast pump controller 5. By automatizing the ballasting device, burdens to clues can be reduced. |
