PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional accuracy of a lead storage battery by simultaneously fusing together a lead bushing, a terminal electrode pole and a terminal. CONSTITUTION:A lead bushing 11 is prepared by insertion molding in such a manner that its top end surface 13 is exposed above a lid-penetrating hole 10. After a terminal electrode pole 16 is inserted into the penetrating hole 12 of the lead bushing 11, a low-melting-point lead alloy 6 is brought into contact with top end surfaces 13 and 14 before a separately formed terminal 1 is brought into contact with them. After that, heating is performed with a high-frequency dielectric heater 17 set around the terminal 1 while the top end surface 3 of the terminal 1 is pressed with a pressing device 18 so as to fuse the terminal 1, the lead bushing 11 and the terminal electrode pole 16 together, thereby completing a terminal 19 for a lead storage battery. |
