PURPOSE:To separate accurately and at a high speed the patterns of closed areas by giving the distance value approximate to the Euclid distance to each picture element for the processing carried out by a (3X3) addition operator. CONSTITUTION:A discriminating part 3 discriminates the graphic picture elements among those showing the matrix-shaped binary data between the contour graphic picture elements forming the inside contours of the pattern of a closed area and other graphic picture elements. The a processing part 5 sets the prescribed value as an initial value and gives a raster scan to the discriminated picture elements. Then the part 5 gives the distance value to each picture element by applying the addition processing to the initial value of each picture element. Then a separating part 7 separates the picture elements which form a closed area pattern among those shown by the binary data. |
