PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous data read (reproducing) due to a skew of a medium or the like by reproducing read data from sampling data on a basis of a detected skew quantity. CONSTITUTION:Sampling data of MS (magnetic stripe of a bank book or the like) data stored in a memory 3 is read out in accordance with a read address from a read address control part 5 and is outputted to a data reproducing part 6. The data reproducing part 6 synthesizes read-out sampling data to output reproduced data (binary data). An STX detecting part 7 detects a prescribed binary data pattern STX (start of text) recorded in the beginning of MS data. If STX is not detected by the detecting part 7, read is impossible. The skew quantity obtained in the read address control part is set to a register 8. |
