The invention relates to new amino derivatives of 1,4-benzoxazin-2-one, to the process for obtaining them and to their application to the frequency conversion of light and to the laser effect. The 1,4-benzoxazin-2-one derivatives have the formula: <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 are identical or different and are hydrogen, a methyl or ethyl group, or any group capable of being joined to the nitrogen atom and especially saturated rings; R3 is an aliphatic group, for example methyl, or an unsaturated ring, for example a phenyl, benzyl, styryl or formylstyryl group. They can be used in dye lasers.
