PURPOSE:To perform density control corresponding accurately to original density by arranging a photodetecting element where luminous flux from the center part of an original and luminous flux from an end part of the original perpendicular to an original scanning direction are photodetected. CONSTITUTION:The photodetecting element 11 which generates an electric signal corresponding to the quantity of light of photodetection such as a solar battery and Cds photodetects from the original through a lens 7. Then, this photodetecting element 11 is arranged on the optical path between the lens 7 and a correcting plate 12 for a distribution of the quantity of light and where light to which a photosensitive body is exposed is not cut off. Therefore, the image of the photodetecting element 11 is not formed on the photosensitive body, a copy image is not spoiled, and the density control over the copy image corresponding accurately to the original density is performed. |
