PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing a carbonaceous powder capable of realizing a higher-performance electroviscous fluid than other high- performance electroviscous fluids and capable of stably exhibiting an excellent characteristic over a long period. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind among coal pitch, petroleum pitch, a pitch formed by the polymerization of a condensed polycyclic aromatic compd. and an org. material classified into thermoplastic resin is primarily heat-treated at <=500 deg.C, the product is crushed and/or classified to obtain a carbonaceous powder having 0.5-10mum average grain diameter, and the powder is secondarily heat-treated at a temp. higher than that in the primary heat treatment. |
