PURPOSE:To economically form a polyethylene film having excellent adhesiveness even in hot water, in coating the inner surface of a steep pipe with polyethylene, by coating the inner surface of the heated steel pipe with a specific polyapprox.= ethylene powder while applying a usual polyethylene powder to the coated inner surface of said steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:In forming a polyethylene film to the inner surface of a steel pipe for the purpose of corrosion-proofness, the steel pipe is preheated to 200 deg.C and the inner surface thereof is coated with a polyethylene powder containing at least one of a vinylsilane grafted polyethylene powder and a vinylsilane copolymerized polyethylene powder. Succeedingly, a usual polyethylene powder is applied to the coated surface to form a polyethylene film containing 5-50% of vinylsilane grafted polyethylene or silane coporimerized polyethylene. |
