PURPOSE:To prevent bending force applied to a cylinder and a piston rod and improve the reliability of operation by a method wherein the truck for transporting heavy cargo is provided at the lower part thereof with the driving cylinder and the piston rod, one of which is attached to the carriage so as to be movable and the other of which is provided wiht a pawl member, as well as a guide member, holding the driving cylinder under guiding it into the lengthwise direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A bracket 3 is fixed to the lower end of the carriage 1 for transporting heavy goods, which is movable on a carriage running surface 2 on the ground, while the tip end of the piston rod of the cylinder device is connected to the bracket 3 through a pin 6. The pawl member 7 is provided at the lower part of the driving cylinder 4 while the pawl member 7 is engaged with or disengaged from holes provided on the running surface 2 in the advancing direction of the carriage with constant spaces. The long guide member 9 is attached at both sides of the cylinder device along the advancing direction of the carriage and one end therof is supported by said pin 6 while the lower surface of the other end of the member 9 is provided with a cushion rubber 10 abutting against the running surface 2. Slide pieces, provided at both sides of the cylinder 4, are fitted into a long hole 11 provided on the guide member 9 to guide the movement of the cylinder. |
