<p>The process is esp. suitable for connecting the main base access to the mould with the upper end of a transfer tube from a low pressure tapping crucible. Before placing the mould over the transfer tube, the two faces of a sealing joint are coated with a layer of refractory and thermo-setting paste-like plaster. The sealing joint is then applied to the outside of the base of the main inlet to the mould.</p> |
