Assemblages of fasteners are manufactured by the moulding of assemblages of connected individual fasteners 20 and simultaneously stretching the fasteners while subjecting them to controlled heating. The stretching may be carried out by moving a jaw 32 relative to a fired jaw 31 under a heat source 40. The fasteners may be formed of polyamide, polypropylene, polyester or acetol resin.
