The invention relates to a device for mounting, in a casing, a movable element, such as a cylindrical shaft, supported in the casing by means of bearings. Between each bearing 18, 22 and a corresponding wall of the casing 20 is interposed a thin ring 24, 26 of rigid material with elastic deformation, having a small thickness of between 0.05 and at least 4 mm, intended to compensate for the parasitic flexions and torsions acting on the shaft 12, 16.
