PURPOSE:To diagnose a fault of each device in a computer system by detecting the current flowing into the output buffer of an I/O control circuit and comparing the detected value with a set value. CONSTITUTION:The open collector type output buffer 401 is connected to a bus 1 through a current detecting resistor 410. The voltage applied on both the ends of the current detecting resistor 410 is amplified by an amplifier 420, then applied to the other input terminal of the comparator 430. Whether a fault exists in the output buffer 401 or not is decided by the output of the comparator 430. |
