PURPOSE:To reduce a mechanism in size and give diversity to the setting of reduction and enlargement magnification by detecting the low frequency component of the speed variation of a motor for driving a photosensitive body, and allowing a stepping motor to follow up the component. CONSTITUTION:This controller is equipped with the AC motor 11 for driving the photosensitive body, an encoder 12 which detects the rotating speed of the motor 11, a signal generating means 14 which outputs a setting signal 13 indicating reduction and enlargement magnification to be set, the stepping motor 15 for driving a platen or optical system, and a means 17 which drives and controls the rotation of the stepping motor 15 according to the setting signal 13 while following up the frequency variation of the output signal 16 of the encoder 12. Then, the motor 15 is brought under closed loop control based upon the variation in rotating speed of the motor 11. Therefore, the speed setting signal 13 is varied to set the scanning speed of an original freely. |
