PURPOSE:To prevent the permanent set of a gasket for an exhaust manifold from occurring as well as to secure sufficient effective clamping pressure, by filling an empty space to be formed between beads installed in both first and second metal plates with a compressible textile material. CONSTITUTION:A gas passing hole 33 and a bolt hole 34 are both pierced through a gasket body 27 used for an exhaust manifold. In both first and second metal plates 31 and 32, there are provided with each two of bead parts 35, 36 and 37, 38 being made convex outward along the circumference of the gas passing hole 33. On the other hand, a compressible textile material 30 inherently carrying heat resistance is closely pressed to both surfaces of a core plate 29 consisting of a metal plate of a steel plate of the like whose claw 28 is raised up and further closely pressed to the space between these metal plates 31 and 32 so as to fill an empty space to be formed between these bead parts 35, 37 and 36, 38. |
