<p>PURPOSE:To perform accurate paper feeding control by setting the distance from a sensor to a transer point larger than the distance from an exposure point to the transfer point, and driving an optical system on the basis of the paper presence signal of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a sensor 19 on the downstream side of resist rollers 12 and 13 detects the front edge of a form 2, a pulse generator associated operatively with a photosensitive body 16 starts counting and starts the optical scanning system a specific number later. The distance l1 from the sensor 19 to the transfer point is set larger than the distance l2 from the exposure point to the transfer point and the speed of the form 2 is equalized to the peripheral speed of the photosensitive body 1, so that the optical scanning system starts with delay. Therefore, control over the front edge of the form and control over a grip margin are performed without reference to the slip of a paper feeing roller and the optical system is not in operation even if a jam occurs, so there is not any influence of it.</p> |
