Continuous fiber reinforced composite thermoplastic resin prepreg strip is supplied to a horizontal screen board maintained under oscillation. The resin strip having specific thickness is conveyed to mold board (50) below the screen board. By performing oscillation, prepreg strip is made to fall over mold board. Then, mold board is moved horizontally and is heated and compressed. Several long fiber sheets are obtained by performing orientation of screen board. The composition of thermoplastic resin in prepreg strip includes polypropylene, polyamide, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymers, polycarbonate or polyether ether ketone along with fibers selected from glass fiber, carbon fiber, aromatic polyamide fiber, ceramic fiber, metal fiber or hybrid fiber. The size of slots in screen board is made longer than length of prepreg strip and width larger than thickness and width of prepreg strip. The length, width and thickness of prepreg strip is set as 1-20 cm, 0.01-0.2 cm and 0.01-0.2 cm, respectively.
