PURPOSE:To obtain a magic T having the matching structure of an E-plane branch waveguide giving less adverse effect on an H-plane branch waveguide by decreasing gradually the ratio of impedance of the E-plane branch waveguide to the H- plane branch waveguide from a flange guide of the E-plane branch waveguide toward the branching part. CONSTITUTION:Taper metal parts 10, 11 whose thickness is thick toward the branching part and thin toward the flange part in a range from the branching part to a terminal face D, i.e., the flange of the E-plane branch waveguide 2 are mounted oppositely to each other in the inside of the E-plane branch waveguide 2 in the waveguide magic T comprising the H-plane branch waveguide 1 branched in the form of T and the E plane branch waveguide 2 branched vertically to the branch part nearly at the center of said waveguide 1, and the length of taper parts 101, 111 of the taper metal parts 10, 11 is taken as nearly 1/2 wavelength. Through the construction above, the ratio of impedance of the E- plane branch waveguide 2 to the H-plane branch waveguide 1 is decreased gradually from the flange part of the E-plane branch waveguide 2 toward the branch part. |
