PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of torsion and then an error of the due north indication of the direction of a gyro axis by detecting the angle of torsion of a suspension thread and compensating the torsion through a servo system. CONSTITUTION:A machine system is so set that a pointer 11 is at the center position of a detector while the suspension thread 4 is not twisted. When the rotating body 1 of a gyro is driven, it is in procession motion unless the gyro shaft faces the due north, and when torsion exceeding a specific angle is caused, the detector 12 detects the torsion. Its detection signal is converted by a control circuit 16 into a motor driving signal to drive a motor 14. The motor 14 controls a support part 13 through the rotation of a shaft 15 so that the suspension thread is not twisted. |
