PURPOSE:To enable cementation or the like to be performed, by both selecting a difference in a thermal expansion coefficient and a press fit margin, between a feed oil pipe press fitted to a lifter main unit and the lifter main unit, to a specific value and connecting a plate brought in contact with a cam to the main unit by a brazing material having a specific liquid phase temperature. CONSTITUTION:A plate 8 brought in contact with a cam C is connected to the upper part of a lifter main unit 1. The plate 8, being constituted by an iron system material, is connected by a brazing material having a liquid phase generating temperature in the range of 880-1,150 deg.C, and cementation quenching or cementation nitriding treatment after the connection can be performed. Materials of a feed oil pipe 11 and the main unit 1 are selected so that a difference between their thermal expansion coefficients may be -3.0-8.0X10<-6>/ deg.C, forming their press fit margin to 0.05-5.0% of an external diameter of the pipe, and the pipe 11 is press fitted to a hole 10. In this way, the pipe is surely mounted. |
