PURPOSE:To prevent a power plant from being flooded by an inundation of cooling water, by providing a drainage pipe system, having a drainage pump, in a cooling water pipe in a building of the power plant and an inundation detecting device which generates a start instruction to the drainage pump. CONSTITUTION:An intake side piping system, comprising a cooling water pump 4, intake pipe master valve 5, intake water pipe 6 and a piping part 7 in a building, is arranged between a cooling water source 3 and a condenser 1. A drainage side piping system, comprising a piping part 8 in the building, drainage pipe 9 and a drainage master valve 12, is arranged between the condenser 1 and a discharge water tank 10. An inundation generation detecting signal of a flood detector 22 is converted into an electric signal in a flood alarm 23, controlling the cooling water pump 4, intake pipe master valve 5, drainage master valve 12, drainage pupm 17 and a drainage pump master valve 19. In this way, a power plant can be prevented from being flooded by an inundation of cooling water. |
