PURPOSE:To always make a polishing condition constant, and to eliminate a variation of finish by controlling a peripheral speed of a hone so that it becomes constant irrespective of its abrasion. CONSTITUTION:As for a hone 2, a magnetic material of a ferrite compound is mixed together with a grain and a resin which become a polishing agent, so that a magnetized state of a prescribed shape is obtained on a part of a sintered grind stone. Whenever the hone 2 makes one rotation in a polishing process, a magnetic flux variation from a magnetized part 2a is detected by a magnetic head 1, and a motor driving circuit 4 controls a motor 5 by obtaining a signal from a rotation detecting circuit 3, and rotates the motor 5 so that a passing time of the outside circumstances P, Q of the magnetized part 2a of the hone 2 becomes always constant. A magnetic head to be polished is used as a rotation detecting sensor of the polishing hone, therefore, it is unnecessary to provide separately a member for detecting a rotation, and a device can be simplified. |
