PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and stably producing a high-purity aromatic ether having both phenolic and alcoholic hydroxy groups while suppressing energy consumption in its refining step and suppressing the discoloration of the refined product. SOLUTION: The method for producing the aromatic ether having both phenolic and alcoholic hydroxy groups involves the step of crystallizing and refining the corresponding raw aromatic ether using a solvent with a solubility parameter of 7.5-12.5.
