<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a hot-water reserving tank from being deformed by a pressure due to the volumetric expansion of water by a method wherein a pressure releasing section, releasing the pressure due to the volumetric expansion of the water in case the tip end opening part of a faucet for supplying hot-water is blocked by freezing, is provided at the root of the hot-water supplying faucet. CONSTITUTION:Hot-water is supplied from the upper hot-water supplying port 4 of the hot-water reserving tank 2 accommodating a heater 3 while water, overflowed by the volumetric expansion of water, which is effected from the beginning of heating by the heater 3 to the stop of heating, is discharged from the same port 4. The water heater is provided with the pressure releasing section 11, releasing the pressure due to the volumetric expansion of the water in case the tip end opening part of the hot-water supplying faucet 10 is blocked by freezing, at the root of the faucet 10. As a result, the hot-water reserving tank 1 may be prevented from being deformed or damaged by the pressure due to the volumetric expansion of the water.</p> |
