The invention relates to an elastic, liquid-tight connection of metal cable insulation to the metallic connecting clamp, a silicone sealing compound which can be cured by means of a hardener being introduced in the region of the transition from metal cable to the metallic connecting clamp and the silicone sealing compound engaging over both the cable insulation and the metallic connecting clamp and possibly filling the free annular space which exists between the cable insulation and the end of the connecting clamp on the cable side.
