<p>PURPOSE:To increase an operating speed automatically when the circumference is bright, to execute an operation processing at a high speed, and to execute a normal operation in case of a dark intensity of illumination for a long time, by providing a means for controlling the operating speed of an apparatus in accordance with an intensity of illumination of the circumference. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard KEY, a liquid crystal display device DISP, a solar battery SB and a photodetecting part C are placed on the upper face of a body A of an electronic calculator with a solar battery. These keyboard KEY, display device DISP and cell SB are connected to a central operation processing part CPU, respectively, and a cds element is placed so as to face the photodetecting part C. Also, an oscillator CG provided on the CPU through a resistance R0 is connected to the cds element, by which a value of the resistance R0 becomes a characteristic being in inverse proportion to an intensity of illumination of the circumference. Also, an oscillation frequency of the oscillator CG is made to be in inverse proportion to a resistance value of the resistance R0, an operating speed of the CPU is controlled in accordance with an intensity of illumination of the circumference, and when it is bright, the operating speed is increased automatically, and a normal operation in case of a dark intensity of illumination is executed for a long time.</p> |
