PURPOSE:To prevent the liquid leakage from an air feed hole and increase the cell capacity by specifying the size relationship between the thickness of the air diffusion paper and the depth of an air diffusion paper storage recess for the same cell size. CONSTITUTION:An air feed hole 2 is provided at the bottom of a positive electrode case 1, the air diffusion paper 3 is arranged in an air diffusion paper storage recess 10 at the bottom, and a fluororesin water-repellent film 4 is placed on it. A positive catalyst layer 5 made by filling a catalyst material mixed with active carbon, acetylene black, and polytetrafluoroethylene as a binding agent into a nickel net is arranged on it. Finally, a separator 6 is inserted into the positive electrode case 1 to complete the positive electrode side assembly. In addition, the size relationship between the thickness (h1) of the air diffusion paper 3 and the depth (h2) of its storage recess 10 is made 0.05mm.<h2-h1<=0.2mm., thereby the liquid leakage due to the discharge can be prevented and the maximum cell capacity for the same size can be secured. |
