PURPOSE:To execute a processing of a mean value interpolation against a burst error exceeding a correcting capacity by delaying one of an odd sample and an even sample against the other by a constant interval of time, and encoding it. CONSTITUTION:An odd sample is delayed against an even sample by a constant interval of time C by a delaying circuit 46, and when for instance, an address (n) is made an even sample by an error correcting encoder 48, two error correcting words P, Q are added. As for each sample word to which the error correcting word has been added, an interleave of D=16 blocks is performed to each sampling signal word in one error correcting code block, and error correcting words of P and Q by an interleave circuit 50, and also an odd sampling signal word and its error correcting word are delayed by a constant interval of time C. Thereafter, a cyclic code is added by an error detecting encoder 52, and recorded in a recording medium through a modulator 54 and rotary heads 56, 58. |
