<p>A solarium has a couch for a person who is to receive sun-ray treatment, and above the couch a canopy (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e and 1f) containing sun-ray elements (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e and 2f). The canopy is held in the correct position by means of a stand. It is impossible to use a solarium of this type in a small apartment. The object of the invention is to produce a solarium which requires a minimum of space when not in use, a narrow space behind a sofa being sufficient. This is enabled by a narrow guide-rail assembly (5a and 5b) extending first vertically behind a sofa from a flooring plate (12) located mostly below the sofa, and thereafter over the sofa, the non-vertical part (7a and 7b) of the guide-rail assembly (5a and 5b) being removable. The canopy (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e and 1f) is displaceable along the guide rails (5a and 5b) from horizontal position to vertical position. Thanks to its being divided into a number of longitudinal elements (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e and 1f) which are articulated with respect to each other, the canopy is like a roll-top in which members (4a) on each element slide along the guide rails (5a and 5b).</p> |
