The parts of the sample chamber of the novel sample syphon are held together in a suitable manner during sampling. After sampling, opening the sample chamber does not present any difficulties. The two metal shells 3 of the sample chamber 1 are held together at one end by a bow-shaped spring 10. The spring 10 is made of a spring-steel strip having a thickness of 0.3-0.8 mm and is annealed by heating during sampling. The limbs 12 of the spring 10 are bent one after the other through an angle of 210 DEG -270 DEG , preferably of 237 DEG -243 DEG . Those ends of the limbs 12 which come into contact with the metal shells 3 face the spring body 11 at an angle. <IMAGE>
