The subject matter of the invention is a method and arrangement for use with or in a satellite (S) for cancelling the cross-couplings which may occur on an uplink to a satellite in a first channel (WV) due to signals of an adjacent second channel (LH or UH), the first channel being received in a first linear polarisation (vertical) by a first linearly polarised satellite antenna element (11) and the second channel having a linear polarisation which is generally orthogonal in relation to the first polarisation. According to the invention, the signal of the second channel is scanned with the aid of a second linearly polarised antenna element (13) which is oriented orthogonally in relation to the first antenna element (11), and the amplification of the signals of the second channel received on the second antenna element is reduced with the aid of an adjustable amplifier (41 or 55) in an inverse ratio to the scanned cross-coupling quantity (depolarisation). The reduced-amplification signals are inverted with the aid of an inverter (43 or 43a) so that they can then be summed with the aid of a summing device (35) with the signals of the first channel which are received by the first antenna element (11). <IMAGE>
