PURPOSE:To control the operating capacity of a compressor, which is corresponding to the load therefor, more efficiently by employing the contact piece of a temperature regulator switched between a low temperature side contact and a high temperature side contact, which are consisting of single pole and double heads. CONSTITUTION:When an operating switch 2 is turned ON under a cooling operation and a water temperature in a cold and hot water vessel is high, the contact 3 of the temperature regulator is closed, the contact piece 6 of the contact 5 is located between the high temperature side contacts (a)-(c) and a B-contact 11 and the contact 3 are conducted to operate the compressor 4. Next, the compressor 9 is operated through the contact 13 and the contact 5(a)-(c) since a delay relay 8 is between the contact 5(a)-(c) and the contacts 13, 14 are closed after the excitations thereof, while an auxiliary relay 10 is excited through the contact 5 by closing the contact 14, closes the A-contact 15 and opens the B-contact 11 by forming self holding, therefore, two-sets operation of the compressors 4, 9 is effected. When the load is reduced and the temperature of cold water is lowered, the contact piece 6 of the contact 5 is switched to the contacts (a)-(b), the auxiliary relay 7 is excited to open the B-contact 12 and the compressor 4 is stopped.
