Adjustable roof for containers, (fig 1.) referring to a sliding roof construction for covering containers or transport receptacles, lacking a fixed roof. The device is characterised by the tarpaulin fabric (1), which forms the draught proof part, which is fixed to a number of beams (2) that are placed along the length of the container and are slide able on rollers (4) in a crosswise direction when the device is adjusted in order to cover or respectively open the roof of the container. The movement of the device is powered and controlled by two co-ordinated chain transmissions (10) on the container gables that via an intermediary transmission (15) from a storage and drive unit (16) can manually wind the roof into the desired position. In the storage and drive unit there is a lock mechanism that stops the device in the intended position.<IMAGE> |
