PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a large laser output by a method wherein a plurality of laser introduction ports wherethrough laser gas is introduced to the discharge region so as to intersect the laser optical axis are provided. CONSTITUTION:The laser gas is introduced to the discharge region 22 having a discharge tube wall 23 through a plurality of the laser gas introduction ports 24 on the wall 25 perpendicular to the laser optical light 21 so as to intersect said optical axis 21 at the angle theta in the direction of the arrow mark. In such a manner, even when the flow speed of the laser gas is not increased so much, the laser gas is sufficiently well agitated in the discharge region 21. Therefore, the discharge does not become ununiform, and then a large laser output can be obtained. |
