PURPOSE:To enhance resistance to shrinkage on typing and stabilize a moving property of a printer, by weaving an ink ribbon fabric from thermoplastic synthetic fibers having a boiling water shrinkage factor in the longitudinal direction of an ink ribbon of not higher than 0.5%. CONSTITUTION:A 6,6-nylon filament yarn consisting of 34 filaments of 40 denier is sized to be used as warp, while a 6,6-nylon filament yarn consisting of 34 filaments of 70 denier is used as weft, and a flat weave fabric having a warp density of 164 yarns/2.54cm and a weft density of 107 yarns/2.54cm is woven therefrom. The fabric is desized by immersing it in a treating liquid of 95 deg.C containing sodium hydroxide and a surfactant, and is desized and scoured. Then, test pieces measuring 3mX45cm are taken from the dried fabric in the longitudinal direction, are treated for 2min in a steam treating machine at temperatures of 110, 120, 130 and 140 deg.C, then they are dried in air, and are set at 180 deg.C for 20sec while tenting by a test pin tenter to obtain ink ribbon fabrics. |
