PURPOSE:To reduce the power capacity required for recording and reduce the crosstalk between tracks adjacent to each other and suppress a peak shift by generating asynchronously write pulse current for heads of tracks of different groups which plural tracks of a magnetic head are divided to. CONSTITUTION:Plural modulating circuits 1-1-1-N for modulation of digital data, plural write circuits 2-1-2-N which count intervals of level inversion of each modulation signal with a write signal generating pulse signal and determine the number of pulses having the same polarity in accordance with intervals of level inversion of the modulation signal and convert the modulation signal to a write signal consisting of a pulse current having a prescribed width and a prescribed number of pulses, and multitrack thin film magnetic heads 3-1-3-N for write are provided, and plural tracks are divided to plural groups, and a pulse signal generating circuit 4 which generates write signal generating pulse waves having different phases whose number corresponds to the number of groups is provided. The write signal having the same phase is given to heads of tracks in the same group, and the write signal having a different phase which is generated with the write signal genrating pulse wave having a different phase is given to heads of tracks in a different group. |
